BRISTOL Fire Engineering Service Center is fully equipped to carry out the reconditioning, servicing and refilling of portable fire extinguishers, fire extinguishing system cylinders and breathing air cylinders. All the service and reconditioning works undertaken by the service center, is carried out in accordance with our workshop Procedure Manual which has been produced to meet the requirements of BS 5306 part 3 1985, BS 5430 part 1,2&3 1990 and BS 5423 1987. We have many years of experience in the serving of fire fighting equipment, in addition, our team of field service technicians are available for on site service and maintenance of fire detection, FM 200, Halon, Co2, Foam, dry chemical, hydrant, sprinkler Spray and alarm systems. The workshop is equipped with the latest type of plant & tools, among the items of equipment installed are:

· Bulk Storage CO2 Tank:

A Large refrigerated storage tank with CO2 liquid transfer pump for the filling of all sizes of portable CO2 fire extinguishers and fixed CO2 system cylinders.

· Surface Preparation and Cylinder internal Cleaning:

Semiautomatic shot-blasting machine is used for the surface treatment of old cylinders to remove old paint and external / internal surface corrosion of the cylinder prior to hydrostatic testing and re-painting.

· Hydrostatic Testing Station:

Cylinders due for periodic examination and hydrostatic testing are processed on equipment designed to meet the requirements of BS 5430 parts 1,2&3 1990. Pressure ranges up to 650 bar.

· Paint finishing and printing:

Painting finishing is processed manually in a water wash fan assisted fume extraction spray booth. Powder coating finishes can be provided for specialized requirements.

· Inspection, testing & filling of breathing air cylinders:

Trained Technicians operate on a multi filter high pressure Breathing air compressor with a capacity to fill air cylinders up to a pressure of 350 bar.

· Fire extinguisher filling:

Bristol Fire Engineering Service Center is capable of filling all types of portable and wheeled Fire Extinguishers.
